Dubai Police Crack Down on Illegal Street Vendors During Ramadan
As part of the "Combat Begging" initiative, Dubai Police have detained 375 unlicensed street vendors selling food and counterfeit goods during Ramadan. This effort aims to protect public health and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
Lieutenant Colonel Taleb Al Ameri, head of the Street Vendors Combating Section, warned against purchasing from unauthorized sellers, citing potential health hazards due to non-compliance with hygiene standards.
Authorities are actively monitoring violations and encourage the public to report illegal vendors via 901 or the "Police Eye" feature on the Dubai Police app. The campaign is part of ongoing efforts to maintain public safety and uphold regulations throughout the Holy Month.
