On Monday, several regions in the UAE experienced varying levels of rainfall as the nation faces unstable weather conditions, which are expected to persist until Thursday, according to the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM).
The current weather situation could involve a shallow air depression from the southeast, coinciding with an upper-atmosphere air depression. The NCM explained that the interaction of these systems, along with a cold air mass and an upper air current from the west, promotes cloud formation and rainfall.
Rainfall was reported in areas including Al Mushrif, Airport Road, Khalifa City, Al Nouf, Al Qurm Street, Sheikh Khalifa Street, and Al Rawdah in Abu Dhabi, among other locations. The lowest temperature in the country was recorded at 5.6°C in Rakna, Al Ain, at 7am, as per the NCM.
Meanwhile, Abu Dhabi Police have advised drivers to remain cautious due to the weather conditions and to comply with speed limits as displayed on traffic signs and road indicators.

Winds are expected to shift to a northeasterly direction, with speeds ranging from moderate to light at 10 to 25 km/h, and could reach up to 35 km/h. Sea conditions are anticipated to be moderate to light in the Arabian Gulf, while remaining light in the Sea of Oman.
On Wednesday, cloudy weather is forecasted for the eastern, northern, and coastal regions, bringing some rain. Overnight and into early Thursday morning, humidity is likely to increase in certain inland areas. Winds will shift from southwesterly to northwesterly, varying from light to moderate speeds but becoming more active at times, with speeds of 15 to 25 km/h and gusts up to 40 km/h. The sea is expected to be light to moderate, with the possibility of becoming rough in the Arabian Gulf and the Sea of Oman due to the cloud cover.
