The NCEMA said it had held meetings with various departments to ensure preparedness for the oncoming unstable weather conditions
The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) has warned of an oncoming unstable weather condition set to hit the UAE from Wednesday, May 1.
The NCM notified of a low pressure system coming in from the Red Sea followed by another low pressure system from the Northwest that will bring heavy rain to most parts of the country.
The weather system will bring moderate to heavy rainfall along with thunder and lightning starting Wednesday. This system would cover most parts of the country on Thursday, May 2.

The emirate of Abu Dhabi has an extremely high probability of heavy rain along with thunder and lightning on Thursday, May 2. Similar conditions are expected to hit most of Dubai later on Thursday morning.

News of the expected heavy rain comes as the UAE recovers from stormy weather on April 16, which brought much of the country to a standstill.

Heavy rain was reported in parts of Dubai, Sharjah and Fujairah on Sunday and Monday.
Social media videos shared by the NCM showed heavy rainfall in parts of Ras Al Khaimah while parts of Ajman saw light showers.
