Abu Dhabi international airport (UAE) in honor of the new year on the Chinese calendar announced special promotions and offers.
In honor of the new year on the Chinese calendar from 1 to 17 February 2019, Abu Dhabi airport, together with Duty Free, conducts a series of special promotions and entertainment programs for passengers.
For example, a shop of branded gifts, working with Duty Free, will offer travelers individual gift cards and additional services. On all gifts and goods bought in this shop, at the request of buyers it is possible to engrave, print, embroider or wrap them in gift paper.
Also at the airport there is a slot machine "Fortune Catcher", participating in interactive games where you can get a chance to win a lot of prizes – from accessories to watches and gold products.
Brian Thompson, Director General of Abu Dhabi airport, said: "The activities of our airport are aimed at supporting the economic development of the Emirate. The state has recently revised visa requirements for tourists from China, making them simpler, thereby increasing the attractiveness of the UAE for the Chinese market."
Maarten de Gruff, commercial Director of Abu Dhabi airport, added: "Abu Dhabi airport aims to create a friendly atmosphere and unforgettable experiences for tourists that reflect major national and international events such as the Chinese New year. This year we have a number of special offers and services, from cashback and bonus cards to an incredible slot machine that gives out prizes."
Every week, 28 flights depart from Abu Dhabi airport to China in four directions: Chengdu, Hong Kong, Beijing and Shanghai. Only in 2018, 578 thousand people flew in these areas.
