Wealthy British citizens have started to get vaccinated against coronavirus in private clinics in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), without waiting in line to vaccinate the population in the kingdom. This was reported on Saturday, January 9, by The Daily Telegraph newspaper, citing the head of the British company Knightsbridge Circle, Stuart McNeill, who organizes such trips.
According to him, hospitals in Dubai and Abu Dhabi already offer customers to be vaccinated with the American Pfizer vaccine privately. "About 20% of our customers decided to fly out there and get vaccinated," McNeill said.
According to him, the UAE is chosen because the country is not on the list of states with a high incidence of COVID-19 developed by the British authorities, which implies mandatory compliance with the 10-day quarantine rule upon return to the United Kingdom.
As a result, the company's customers rest on the sea between the first and second vaccines.
McNeill did not name the company's clients, noting that they are known to the general public.
Knightsbridge Circle's clients include members of the royal family, artists and major entrepreneurs.
On the eve of the UK authorities reported that in the country about 3 million doctors and social workers will be urgently vaccinated against coronavirus infection due to the growth of COVID-19 infections and staff shortages in hospitals and nursing homes.
The vaccination program started in the kingdom on December 8 after the regulator allowed the use of the vaccine by the American company Pfizer and its German partner BioNTech.
