Airshow organisers say 1,300 exhibitors and 87,000 aerospace professionals expected to attend next year
Organisers of next year's Dubai Airshow have announced that they are anticipating it to be bigger than ever.
When it returns to Dubai World Central in 2019, Dubai Airshow is predicted to attractt 1,300 exhibitors and up to 87,000 aerospace professionals across its five day run.
The prediction comes as the International Air Transport Association (IATA) forecasts the Middle East will see an extra 290 million air passengers on routes to, from and within the region by 2037.
Organisers said in a statement that Dubai Airshow 2019 will have an increased focused on sector specific conferences and pavilions, reflecting these growing industry areas and bringing together experts and key stakeholders.
These include Smart Manufacturing, Space, Cargo Connect, Airport Solutions Dubai and Global Air Traffic Management (GATM).
Each will include a conference and a dedicated pavilion on the show floor. The conferences will run for one or two days each and take place throughout the Dubai Airshow.
As in previous years, the Dubai Airshow 2019 has attracted new exhibitors from around the globe, including DEPO from Pakistan, INETEC from Croatia and Pattonair from the UK, the statement said, in addition to returning exhibitors from all sectors of the industry
“The Dubai Airshow is a must attend event in the aerospace calendar,” said Michele van Akelijen, managing director of show organisers Tarsus F&E Middle East.
“With the interest we have seen from new exhibitors plus the incredible growth in emerging technologies represented at the show, I am confident the 2019 edition will be bigger than previous years.”
The Dubai Airshow takes place on November 17-21 2019.
