Ajman police have denied rumors that a 13-year-old boy has disappeared in the emirate. The police later confirmed that the news was fake.
According to Ajman police, the boy left his home due to family disagreements. Ajman police returned the teenager to his parents safe and sound in less than 14 hours.
Lieutenant Colonel Mohammad Abdullah Abu Shehab, head of the Al-Nuaimiya Integrated Police Station, said the boy's father came to the police station and reported that his son had left home after a family conflict, asking the police to help find him.
However, some people spread rumors claiming that the boy was missing, despite the fact that the child returned safely to his parents on the same day, Lieutenant Colonel Abu Shehab added.
Lieutenant Colonel Shehab warned members of the society not to spread unfounded rumors and urged them to receive information only from official sources.
