IN THE UAE THE LAW REGULATING FLIGHTS OF DRONES PREPARES
The United Arab Emirates will be ready to provide the law regulating use of unmanned aerial vehicles in the nearest future.
In the nearest future in the UAE the law on sale and use of unmanned aerial vehicles for the purpose of risk minimization in this sphere shall be ready, the official from the Aviation authority told.
Let's remind, on June 12 the international airport of Dubai was closed more than for an hour because of unauthorized penetration of the drone into airspace. Million losses became result of the incident.
"Several incidents already occurred, and we face a dilemma how to integrate their [drones] into the commercial aviation" — Mohammed Feysal al Dossari, the director of aeronautical department in UAE General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) told.
The existing rules to the UAE introduced in April, 2015 belong generally to commercial licensing and approval of how the companies use unmanned aerial vehicles, al Dossari reported journalists at a regional conference on questions of unmanned aerial vehicles in Abu Dhabi.
"Management on standardization and metrology of the UAE (ESMA) works on laws which will create a basis for import, sales and operation of unmanned aerial vehicles" — he told.
In Abu Dhabi since March of last year sales of regular, entertaining drones are forbidden until new laws are issued.
At least 400 drones, generally commercial, are registered in GCAA. They are used for such transactions as creation of cards, security systems, for a research of the environment, transportation, agricultural industry and so on.
