Dubai Int'l flights suspended over suspected drones activity
Flights from Dubai International Airport were suspended for half an hour on Friday morning
Flights from Dubai International Airport were suspended for half an hour starting from 10:13am local time over "suspected drone activity," a Dubai Airports spokesperson said in an emailed statement.
A hub for Emirates airlines, the airport in Dubai is among the world’s busiest for international travellers.
Dubai Airports has worked closely with the appropriate authorities to ensure that the safety of airport operations has been maintained at all times, the spokesperson said.
In December, London's Gatwick Airport was paralysed for more than two days after dozens of drone sightings.
