The Team has around a century of combined experience in advising and assisting with pedigree of excellence and professionalism in service to clients. We have been consistently ranked at the top level, due to our exceptional reputation by the law firm directories Legal 500, The Lawyer and International Referral and provide local and international clients with a full range of UAE and English Law advice, combining local knowledge and international experience.
We have the practice and knowledge on our side to efficiently resolve legal, regulatory and commercial conflicts wherever they arise on your behalf. Our bank of experience in litigation covers UK, UAE and DIFC jurisdictions and work on international and local arbitration cases, most notably with bodies such as ICC, DIFC-LCIA, DIAC, LMAA, LCIA, GMAA, GAFTA and FOSFA. We are the first law firm having enforced an International Arbitration Award in UAE Courts under the NY Convention.
Our lawyers are licensed to appear in front of the Courts in approximately 10 different jurisdictions worldwide, with our UAE qualified lawyers possessing full rights to appear before the UAE Courts, therefore should we be required to act on your behalf we are able to meet all your litigation needs through our firm alone without the need to obtain outside counsel thus streamlining the litigation process and contributing to our excellent results. We have the ability to provide all legal services with respect to advising and representing clients in the UAE, thus ensuring our clients deal with one legal team only. As such, we handle all UAE Court matters in-house and are fully capable of local legal drafting, filing in UAE Courts and representing clients before UAE Courts.
The firm strongly believes that when it comes to dispute resolution, litigation before any court or tribunal should be the ultima ratio as the Clients’ interests are best served if costly and lengthy trials are avoided. Solving disputes amicably does not only save time and money, but also increases the chance of maintaining commercial relationships. However, the highly trained and carefully selected litigation team at the Firm has been lauded by clients for pinpointing the moment when commercial solutions are no longer viable and legal action needs to be taken. Our team comprises of dual qualified lawyers, Arabic lawyers and Emirate lawyers. This is particularly attractive to local clients as none of the international law firms based in UAE can offer direct representation in local courts. Our foreign lawyers work closely with the Emirati lawyers especially on litigation cases, which offer the client a clear understanding of the applicable UAE Law, overcoming the language barrier. As a firm we pride in providing a one stop shop to all the clients’ needs and at the same time being cost effective in providing competitive rates.
