The ministry said that 204 previously infected people recovered from the dreaded disease.
The ministry also announced the death of 2 people from COVID-related complication.
The authorities have expressed their sincere condolences to the families of the deceased.
The ministry has announced that 44,389 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine were given in the past 24 hours.
The total number of doses provided up to Friday stands at 20,409,126 with a rate of vaccine distribution of 206.35 doses per 100 people.
