The UAE on Sunday launched a fund of 3 billion dirhams ($816.84 million) to support its space program and a new initiative to develop radar satellites, President His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan said on Twitter.
His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, stated that the purpose of the foundation is to support the creation of national companies in the space sector and stimulate national strategic and research projects.
