The man and his girlfriend are deported from Dubai after they were found guilty of maintenance of the intimate contacts out of defect which led to illegal pregnancy.
The 28-year-old American employee and his 22-year-old girlfriend of the Pakistani origin who became his wife after the child's birth will be deported from the UAE by a court decision of Dubai.
In May the woman was taken to hospital for childbirth where it was revealed that it has no official documents on the child's father. On this fact doctors notified police.
The 22-year-old student of college was recognized to police that she fell in love with the American who studied together with it, and in the communications by agreement which led to pregnancy. The American also recognized the paternity then couple was accused of the illegitimate sexual relations.
The Dubai court on penal offenses (Court of Misdemeanours) found the American and the Pakistani guilty. The lawyer of defendants Mohammed Abdullah of al Redkh claimed that his clients had no felonious intent, as proof having provided to court the copy of the official marriage certficate concluded after the child's birth.
"My clients are the respectable residents of the UAE who aren't going to break laws. As soon as they were notified on consequence in law of the actions, they addressed sharia court and got married. We provide the copy of the marriage certficate and we ask court to appoint by it a light sentence" — it was said in the justificatory speech of the lawyer.
The court appointed beach wraps as punishment imprisonment probation in three months and deportation. The decision became final as couple and prosecutor's office didn't appeal against primary decision.
