British pop legends say they will now play Dubai Media City Amphitheatre on November 29
British pop legends Take That confirmed on Thursday that their concert in Dubai will be moved to avoid a clash with the "dry" period recently announced to mark the occasion of the birth of the Prophet Mohammed (PBUH).
The band was scheduled to play its gig at Dubai Media City Amphitheatre on Thursday November 30 but it has now been moved to the Wednesday night.
"Dubai, we will be with you sooner than expected! The rescheduled date for our Dubai Media City Amphitheatre show is now 29th November," Take That said in a tweet.
Earlier this week, it was announced that no alcohol will be served in bars and restaurants across Dubai for a 24-hour period on Thursday and Friday next week.
Tourism chiefs have sent a circular to establishments in the city alerting them about the 24-hour dry period.
The communication issued by The Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM) has confirmed that the dry period will run from 5pm on Thursday November 30 until 6pm on Friday December 1.
