Academies must adhere to safety and prevention protocols
Sports academies can now avail of facilities at Dubai’s private educational institutions to resume coaching and training activities, Dubai Sports Council tweeted.
Academies must adhere to safety and prevention measures issued by Dubai’s Supreme Committee of Crisis and Disaster Management, and protocols established by Dubai Sports Council in collaboration with the Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA), Dubai’s education regulator.

On March 30, the UAE extended the distance learning programme – originally slated to end on April 4, with schools expected to resume on April 5 – till the end of the current academic year.
The new academic year is expected to begin on August 30.
Earlier in June, the council also permitted swimming pools in Dubai to reopen in adherence to strict guidelines to prevent the spread of Covid-19. Meanwhile, water sports activities in the emirate have also been permitted to resume.
