The rising trend of social media posts of daredevils in risky locations is a bad act to follow
Few trends can be seen as more dramatic or foolhardy in the way those involved risk life and limb to produce the most death-defying image.
A hunger for social media likes has created a modern day phenomenon of daredevils posing in life threatening situations, usually in precarious positions just inches from the edge of a potentially fatal drop.
Authorities in the UAE have been quick to try and clamp down on the modern trend with police arresting or warning several in Dubai caught taking photos of their stunts and posting online.
Here is a selection of some of the incidents in the UAE:
Producer and photographer Murad Osmann has attracted an online following of 4.6 million, largely thanks to his posts hand in hand with his girlfriend in stunning locations.
