Non-Muslim residents and investors in Dubai can now avail of a fast track will registration service within the VIP section of Al Barsha mall and Al Twar Tas'heel Centre.
This is as part of new arrangements between DIFC Wills & Probate Registry (WPR) and Al Burj Holding (ABH). Customers can now register a will at the same time as they access other services such as property transfer registrations and company incorporations.
The will registration services will be undertaken in private rooms, called terminals. The registrations will be carried out by trained staff in accordance with pre-agreed procedures as set down by the WPR. Registered wills are then sent to the WPR for storage and retrieval.
This is the first time the WPR services will be available outside of its office in the DIFC.
Abdulaziz Al Shaikh, CEO of Al Burj Holding, said: "At Tas'heel, we are constantly evolving to provide our customers with what they need to invest, live and work in Dubai. The partnership with Wills & Probate Registry is in line with our vision to increase the trust of our users, align with smart government goals and to enhance the country's ease of doing business and living."
Sean Hird, director, DIFC Wills & Probate Registry, said: "This new agreement paves the way for more fast track options available to non-Muslim residents and investors in Dubai. Since our inception in 2015, we have developed strong working relationships with significant partners such as the DLD to ensure a far smoother process for those involved."
