Visitors can enjoy views of the capital's skyline
The Louvre Abu Dhabi has unveiled a modern rooftop lounge bar, Art Lounge, at the world-renowned art museum in Saadiyat Cultural District.
The contemporary venue features sleek outdoor seating for guests to relax pre or post exhibition, seating 200 customers and offering them views of the Abu Dhabi skyline.
The lounge is meant to complement the museum’s rich and artistic visitor experience, according to Manuel Rabaté, Director of the Louvre Abu Dhabi.
“It will offer our guests a space to socialise while enjoying the beautiful view of Abu Dhabi’s skyline. With Art Lounge, we continue to achieve new heights for the capital’s iconic attraction,” he said.
Visitors can enjoy tapas-style local and international dishes, including vegetarian and gluten-free options.
The Art Lounge is located on the terrace on top of the Museum Café. It is open Saturday, Sunday, Tuesday, Wednesday: 12pm - 11pm and Friday and Saturday: 12pm – 12.00pm.
The Louvre Abu Dhabi is the first to bear the French name outside of France. It is part of a $1.1 billion, 30-year partnership between the two countries. It houses a massive dome structure designed by architect Jean Nouvel.
The museum has ever-changing exhibitions, performances, cultural and education events, as well as a Children’s Museum, lounge, restaurant and boutique.
