Auditors from Abu Dhabi fined group of government employees for waste from the state treasury over 40 million dirhams.
The state institute of audit of Abu Dhabi reported on Thursday about disclosures of the fact of plunder from state treasury of the amount in the amount of, exceeding 40 million dirhams ($10,8 million).
The personalities of employees who participated in waste on collusion to individuals are identified. It was ordered to them to return means together with penalties in the amount of 40 million more dirhams. The organization doesn't disclose details about the employees and legal entities participating in case, but confirms the fact of receipt of 80 million dirhams from suspects ($21,6 million).
Waste was opened after the task on investigation of suspicious financial transactions was set for department of fight against corruption.
"The group of [criminals] used public funds with violation of the current legislation, the rules and policy connected with distribution control and collection of public funds" — doctor Harib Al Amimi, the president of institute told.
The organization reported case to judicial authorities for acceptance of further measures.
