The terraces overlooking the lake and fountain have always been highly valued for their lively atmosphere, providing guests with prime views of the Dubai Fountain performances.
Emaar Malls Announces Rent Relief for Terrace F&B Tenants Amid Dubai Fountain Closure
Emaar Malls Management has introduced a four-month rent waiver for food and beverage tenants with terraces overlooking the Lake and Fountain areas at Dubai Mall and Souk Al Bahar. This initiative, effective from June to September 2025, supports tenants impacted by the temporary closure of the iconic Dubai Fountain.
The measure aims to ease potential declines in footfall and dining experiences that typically benefit from the fountain’s vibrant appeal. To enhance the guest experience during this period, Emaar will install 400 meters of advanced digital screens along the promenade, displaying dynamic visual content to engage visitors and sustain traffic.
The Lake and Fountain-facing terraces have long been among the city’s most popular dining spots, offering spectacular views and a serene lakeside setting. Despite the fountain's temporary closure, these terraces remain key attractions for their ambiance and culinary offerings.
Mohamed Alabbar commented, “For years, the Dubai Fountain and lake have played a vital role in the success of these destinations. This rent relief is a testament to our strong partnerships and our commitment to helping tenants adapt with confidence.”
Emaar’s support initiative underscores its dedication to sustainable business practices and long-term success for retail partners across its properties.
