UAE private and public sector employees will enjoy a four-day long weekend for the UAE's 53rd National Day.
The Federal Authority for Government Human Resources (FAHR) announced that Monday and Tuesday, December 2 and 3, will be paid holidays for employees in ministries and federal entities, with regular work resuming on Wednesday, December 4.
A UAE Cabinet resolution ensures unified holidays for both public and private sectors.
The Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MOHRE) also confirmed that private-sector employees will receive paid holidays on December 2 and 3.
FAHR and MOHRE extended wishes to the UAE's leadership, citizens, and residents on this occasion.
December 2nd marks Eid Al Etihad, the UAE's National Day, celebrating the formation of the nation in 1971 when six emirates united. Ras Al Khaimah joined the federation in February 1972, completing the seven emirates of the UAE.
The official ceremony will be held in the "breathtaking city" of Al Ain, gathering the nation’s rulers and leaders for the celebration.
