Four people were arrested for loving a man and robbing him of 489,650 Saudi riyals (Dh2,836,200).
According to the prosecution's investigations, the defendants decided to rob the victim, knowing that he was involved in illegal money transfer activities.
They lured him into a public place and arrested him, posing as police officers. One of the robbers was wearing the distinctive uniform of the Dubai Traffic Police, so the victim handed them the money. The defendants divided the money among themselves.
The Court of first Instance sentenced four people to prison, ordered them to pay the stolen amount, which could not be returned, and acquitted the fifth accused.
