Bonus office real estate in skyscrapers of Dubai has allowed the city to take the 20th place in the rating of the cities with the highest rental rates at offices of the world.
Dubai was among 20 cities with the highest rental rates in high-rise towers, according to the last report of Knight Frank. With annual rates at the level of $43,50 for sq. foot Dubai got on the 20th place in rating. At the same time the indicator remained invariable within the last six months.
In general, the rent in towers more than 30 floors intended for commercial use in the Pacific Rim grows at altitude quicker, than in other zones, specialists of Knight Frank note.
The rent in skyscrapers of Hong Kong is the highest in the world ($278,50 for sq. foot). The trace in rating appears New York where the rent reached $158 for sq. foot, and Tokyo ($149,50 for sq. foot).
Meanwhile skyscrapers of Shanghai showed the most rapid growth of rental rates in the first half of the year 2016 — 7,6%.
Dana Salbak, the partner of Knight Frank Dubai Research, told: "For the first half of the year of the current year we saw how skyscrapers are ahead of the colleagues from Europe in the Pacific Rim and North America. Rental rates in skyscrapers of Hong Kong remain the highest in the world and while demand will probably outstrip the offer in the near future, we predict preserving leading line items of the city in an index. Besides, dynamics of the demand and supply in Hong Kong will continue to support growth of rental rates in skyscrapers of Shanghai as many companies prefer to be based exactly here."
