Dubai will start on Sunday a full transformation of government services into smart channels, through the Week without Service Centres initiative
Service centres operated by Dubai Government will close for a week from Sunday in a bid to promote building the culture of smart transformation to online channels.
Dubai Government’s Department of Finance said it is leading the vast cross-government campaign, with the aim to complete the smart transformation in 2021.
Dubai will see on Sunday a full transformation of government services into smart channels, through the Week without Service Centres initiative, which runs until next Thursday.
The extension follows the success of the initiative's first edition last year, when it was organised for one day, after being approved by Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE, and Ruler of Dubai.
During next week, 100 service centres of 40 entities, a few of which are semi-government and private entities, will be fully transforming the delivery of 1,100 services.
