Gemini Property Developers appoints board advisor as developer eyes India and Saudi property markets
Dubai-based Gemini Property Developers has announced the restructuring of its board of directors in the wake of planned expansion into India and Saudi Arabia.
Sailesh Jatania, former chief executive, has been promoted to the position of board advisor, the company said in a statement.
The move comes just weeks after CEO Sunil Gomes, a UK citizen with 30 years real estate experience, was appointed CEO.
The company did not disclose any details about their expansion plans in India and Saudi Arabia.
As the CEO of Gemini Property Developers, Jatania led the timely completion of the AED300 million Splendor residential project at Mohammed Bin Rashid City, the debut project of Gemini.
Sudhakar Rao, chairman of Gemini Property Developers, said: “I am pleased to announce that all board members unanimously accepted Sailesh Jatania as advisor to the board. This calibre of leadership is a dream for every developer. Now, we want to capitalize on his strengths to achieve new milestones as we are expanding our footprint and move to newer territories.”
Jatania added: “I am honoured to have the confidence of Gemini Board members, who entrusted me with a heavy mandate. I will be glad to share my experience and advise the board on taking Gemini to new heights of success and achieving further growth.”
Gemini has started handing over the Splendor project at Sobha Hartland and is also focusing on further AED800 million worth of new projects in Business Bay and Dubailand with a portfolio in luxury and affordable housing.
