Passengers will be able to move to Colombo's airport despite a curfew imposed by Sri Lankan authorities
Emirates Airline is urging passengers flying to Dubai from Sri Lanka to arrive at least four hours earlier in the wake of a deadly string of terror attacks that struck the island nation on Sunday.
“Due to heightened security measures, we urge passengers departing Sri Lanka to arrive at the airport at least 4 hours before their flight departure time,” the airline said in a tweet.
Emirates offers 28 weekly flights between Dubai and Colombo, as well as two flights per day from Colombo to Dubai, according to Emirates’ website.

A similar tweet from national carrier Sri Lankan Airlines advised “all passengers of all airlines” flying out of Colombo to report to the airport four hours early.
Sri Lankan Airlines is the ground handling agent for all airlines operating from Colombo’s Bandaranaike International Airport.
The airline also advised travellers that they will be able to get to the airport even during the curfew that Sri Lankan authorities have imposed until 6 AM on Monday morning.

“They [passengers] can reach the airport by producing their air tickets and passports to security forces and checkpoints,” a tweet noted.
