In the 2025 World Happiness Report, published by the Well-being Research Centre – University of Oxford, in collaboration with Gallup and the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Solutions Network, the UAE secured a global ranking of 21st and claimed the top position in the Arab world.
This achievement places the UAE ahead of several prominent nations, including the United States, Germany, and the United Kingdom, underscoring its commitment to fostering a happy and thriving society.
The report assessed various key factors contributing to overall happiness, with the UAE achieving a score of 6.759 out of 10 in the quality of life assessment. Other critical metrics included social support, per capita gross domestic product, and the degree of freedom enjoyed by its citizens.
Furthermore, the UAE demonstrated a strong sense of community and social responsibility, reflected in its rankings of 19th in willingness to donate, 16th in volunteering hours, and 12th in the rate of recovering lost items. These indicators collectively paint a picture of the UAE as a nation that prioritizes not only economic prosperity but also the well-being and engagement of its population.
