Total exports to the GCC state recorded AED 7.725 billion in Q1-19
Abu Dhabi’s total trade exchange with the GCC countries rose by 7.7% year-on-year to AED 18.222 billion in the first quarter of 2019 from AED 16.918 billion, according to Mubasher statistics.
Total exports to the GCC states recorded AED 7.725 billion in Q1-19, up 18% from AED 6.550 billion in the year-ago period.
The emirate’s imports increased by 18%, reaching AED 4.154 billion from AED 3.985 billion in Q1-18.
Re-exports to the GCC states valued at AED 6.343 billion in the three-month period ended 31 March 2019, versus AED 6.383 billion in the prior-year period.
Saudi Arabia topped Abu Dhabi’s GCC importers with AED 5.905 billion, followed by Kuwait with exports valued at AED 957.160 million.
Moreover, the emirate’s exports to Bahrain stood at AED 523.87 million, while Oman came in the fourth spot with exports worth AED 338.80 million.
Abu Dhabi re-exported commodities worth AED 3.743 billion and AED 1.464 billion to Saudi Arabia and Kuwait, respectively.
The emirate’s re-exports to Bahrain valued at AED 888.58 million and re-exports to Oman valued at AED 247.73 million.
As for the imports, Saudi Arabia was the largest exporter to Abu Dhabi in Q1-19 with imports worth AED 3.076 billion, followed by Bahrain with imports worth AED 588.57 million.
Oman came in the third place from which the emirate imported AED 334.26 million commodities, followed by Kuwait with imports worth AED 155.40 million.
