Total revenue of hotels in Abu Dhabi grew by 16% to AED 1.7bn in Q1
The number of hotel guests staying in Abu Dhabi during the first quarter of 2019 edged up 0.5% year-on-year to 1.2 million people, according to figures released by the Department of Culture and Tourism - Abu Dhabi (DCT Abu Dhabi).
Total revenue of hotels in the UAE’s capital and biggest sheikhdom grew by 16% to AED 1.7 billion in Q1-19, figures highlighted.
Moreover, the hotel occupancy rate in the GCC emirate reached 79% in the three-month period ended 31 March, with a growth rate of 1.4% as compared to Q1-18, data showed.
In April 2018, the DCT Abu Dhabi revealed that the number of total guests in Abu Dhabi’s 163 hotels and hotel apartments increased by 12.3% in Q1-18, reaching 464,960.
