For the first six months 2016 more than 240 thousand tourists from Russia have visited the United Arab Emirates.
As reports Rosstat, from January to June, 2016 Russians made 240 thousand trips to the United Arab Emirates. With this indicator of the UAE took the place in the first twenty of the tourist directions, popular with residents of Russia, having outstripped France, Bulgaria and Tunisia.
In total following the results of the first half of the year 2016 Russians made 13,2 million foreign trips that for 13,1% it is, less, than for the same period of 2015 (15,2 million trips). For comparison, in the first half of the year 2015 in relation to the same period of 2014 the exit flow was reduced by 24,4%.
For the first six months of this year tourists most often left from Russia to Abkhazia (1,5 million trips), Finland (1,26 million), Kazakhstan (1,25 million), Ukraine (816 thousand), China (712 thousand), Estonia (698 thousand), Poland (581 thousand), Germany (468 thousand), Thailand (441 thousand) and Spain (321 thousand). At the same time Finland pressed Turkey occupying it a year ago from the second place of the most popular exit directions. Such data are provided by Rosstat.
In comparison with the same period of last year not only Turkey, but also Egypt "dropped out" of ten of the most popular directions. So, to Turkey in the first 6 months of this year Russians made 168 thousand trips while last year for the same period - 1,37 million trips (decrease by 87,7%). To Egypt in January-June, 2015 Russians left 1,27 million times, Rosstat doesn't provide data for the accounting period of this year.
Tunisia where tourist flow grew almost by 7 times became the main victor in the Russian market: in the first half of the year this North African country accepted 186 thousand Russians. At the same time in the list of the most popular directions Tunisia took only the 18th place. Also in the second ten of the popular exit directions - Cyprus (314 thousand trips), Italy (313 thousand), Lithuania (303 thousand), Georgia (298 thousand), Azerbaijan (267 thousand), Greece (260 thousand), the UAE (240 thousand), Bulgaria (182 thousand) and France (180 thousand).
