Full description
Begin your full-day private tour at you depart Dubai on the drive to the country’s east coast. You’ll pass through the agricultural area of Al Dhaid, where the terrain changes from colorful desert landscape to spectacular mountain scenery.
See small fishing villages scattered along the coastline, including the old village of Dibba, once a strategically important settlement. Admire stunning views of the Indian Ocean, and stop to shop for local crafts, pottery, and carpets at the Friday Market. Take in stunning views of the canyon and the wadis, which still display the tracks followed by nomads in earlier days.
Continue along the coastline to the oldest and smallest mosque in the country, the Al Bidya Mosque, built in the 15th century. Drive through the port towns of Khorfakhan and Fujairah, passing by the ruins of mountain dwellings, and end the trip with a visit to the 300-year-old Fort of Fujairah as well as the Fortress of Bithnah oasis.
Before returning to Dubai, you’ll have leisure time at the Oceanic Khorfakkan Hotel where you can enjoy lunch (at your own expense).
