Full description

It’s time to say goodbye to big crowds and the extreme climate of an evening/morning safari, as you are going to experience the desert in a calm pleasant atmosphere.

Around 10:45 am you will be collected from your pickup location. Together you will drive to Lahbab - red dunes desert - in a 4-wheel drive Land Cruiser. After about 45 minutes, you will arrive at the destination. Relax in the restrooms there, making use of bathroom facilities. You may opt for a short Quad Bike ride as the Land Cruiser gets ready for an off-road desert drive.

Time for adventure next. Your activities start off with desert dune bashing: after 35-45 minutes of red dunes riding, try sand surfing (sandboarding) down the dunes. Your guide will photograph these nice moments for you. Following this is the camping at Al Khayma.

As you arrive, your safari captain will explain the traditional activities and lead you to a tent (Khayma). Get seated and receive a typical local welcome with Gahwa, Gaymat (Arabic coffee/sweets), dates, and all. By this time your lunch will be ready. Fulfill your appetite with a lavish lunch of barbecue dishes and salads, followed by desserts. Rest for a while before the camp entertainment begins.

Make good use of your free time in camp by trying bedouin specials - dressing up as an Arab, posing with a falcon, tattooing with henna (for ladies), or shisha pipe smoking. You can also enjoy live performances by Tanoura and belly dancers.

As the entertainment concludes, you will go to Desert Ships that are waiting in the camel area. Take a camel ride through the surroundings for 10-15 minutes. As the sunset time comes up you will proceed to a top dune where you can witness the sun setting over the desert.

• Please wear sports shoes for safe sand boarding & bring light jacket from Nov-April
• Pickup will be within the first 30-45 minutes of your booked time
• It is recommended not to eat 2-3 hours before the safari trip to avoid any vomiting/sickness during the dune bashing
• Dry days: entertainment activities ( belly dancing) will not be available on the following dates: Ramadan, Nov 20th, or Islamic holidays as per UAE law (Date may vary as per the UAE law and Season time)
•Tanoura show might be cancelled on during the same dates as per UAE law
