7 restaurant openings of December in Dubai

At the end of 2022, several promising projects appeared on the Dubai gastronomic scene. Among the heroes of our selection are a restaurant in the Nikkei concept with a 700–meter terrace, a new establishment from a star Israeli chef and a nightclub with techno parties.
1. Loren

The restaurant is located on the second floor of The Club complex on Palm West Beach. The spirit of the Italian Riviera of the 60-70s hovers here: wicker chairs, marble columns and pottery will transport you through time and space. Canonical Italian cuisine in a modern design will make this trip unforgettable. Plot your route among tartars, carpaccio and flawless pasta with vongole, and then move on to desserts. The team did a great job on their serving – as well as on serving cocktails. The local negroni in a branded glass bottle is a separate art form.

Location: The Club, Palm West Beach
2. North Miznon

Israeli chef and TV star Eyal Shani runs dozens of restaurants around the world, including in New York, Singapore, Vienna and Tel Aviv. In the loft interior of North Miznon, he celebrates Mediterranean cuisine and quotes Middle Eastern tradition. Eyal Shani's favorites are unchanged: olive oil, tahini, tomatoes and, of course, seafood – there are no problems with them in Dubai. Everything is thought out: seasonal dishes in the sharing style serve change daily.

Location: The Wall, Dubai Marina
3. Cou Cou

An elegant establishment at a height of 52 floors is located in the Palm Tower. You can come here about and without: several stylish lounge areas, booths with dim lights or stools at the bar - choose your scenario. Mediterranean cuisine will come in handy: grilled sea bass with zucchini and artichoke puree (170 AED), linguini with lobster (260 AED) or buratta with homemade pesto (115 AED).

Location: Palm Tree View, Palm Tower
4. OAnjo

The name of the restaurant translates as "angel" – a hint of the heavenly pleasure that the Nikkei concept brings to guests. The interior has a harmonious combination of Japanese and Portuguese traditions: stained glass windows, "aged" European textures and Asian touches like ceiling fans. A bonus from the location on the rooftop is a panoramic view of Dubai.

Chef Sergio Cruz has several signature dishes on his menu. Try sardine marinades (52 AED), katsu sando (190 AED) and sashimi with salmon (40 AED). When it comes to the drinks list, pay attention to Anjo's signature cocktail with nutty notes.
Location: 24th floor, Sheraton Mall of Emirates Hotel, Al-Barsha
5. DOM

The club project in the style of "friends' apartment" is located on the Palm embankment, so techno parties are held here with a view of Atlantis The Palm. The interior has black floors, leather furniture, graffiti and screens with lighting effects. The menu is ideal for companies: pizza margarita (70 AED), maki sushi with salmon (65 AED) or crispy beef (65 AED).

Location: West Side, Point, Palm Jumeirah
6. ONZE

Another project in the Nikkei concept is with lush greenery in the interior, a 700–meter terrace and an installation under the ceiling, referring to Japanese painting. Bestseller – lobster tempura with physalis and a test based on carbonated water: this gives tempura a pleasant lightness. As a finale, try the dessert Tres Leches Kintsugi, made from milk from the island of Hokkaido and Okinawan sugar. The cake is decorated with meringue, hand–painted in gold - its guests break it with a small hammer.

Location: Dubai Creek Golf & Yacht Club
7. En Fuego

You can feel like a real Mexican in the new establishment at the Atlantis The Palm Hotel. The bright interior, weekly shows and the Latin American spirit will definitely not let you get bored.
The kitchen is run by a native of Colombia, Daniel Garcia. Pay attention to the composition of the menu: avocado dishes are devoted to an entire chapter. Try smoked avocado with coriander (70 AED) or tuna (85 AED). Bonus items for guests with gluten intolerance, which, however, will please everyone, for example, grilled celery with pistachios and Mexican sauce (160 AED). The restaurant supports local farmers, so dishes from their products on the menu are marked with a special icon.
