​Bookmunch

BookMunch is Dubai’s first literary café designed by the community for the community. In addition to offering mouthwatering dishes for breakfast, lunch and dinner, it houses a big collection of hand-picked titles that caters to all ages. BookMunch also hosts regular events for book lovers, book clubs, book signings, readings, arts and culture.

Our Story

Other than our cravings for books and reading, one of our great interests is food, so it was only natural that these two passions would meet at some point to make what BookMunch is today. We believe there is a very special connection between eating and reading. Perhaps it’s because both food and books are made from the heart or maybe it’s “consuming both food and the written word that makes the marriage of the two activities quite heavenly”. Whatever the reason, we’re sure you’ll agree there is nothing better than curling up with a book at a favourite reading place, and why not- maybe even munching on some comfort food while at it. Our name, as you might ask, is inspired by Oliver Jeffers’ “The Incredible Book Eating Boy,” about a boy who, just like us, loved books so much that he ate every one of them. So, come munch along…
