Brand Dubai joins forces with lifestyle website The Huntr to launch the Dubai Loves Coffee competition
In another initiative aimed at showcasing the city’s entrepreneurial vibrancy, Brand Dubai, the creative arm of the Government of Dubai Media Office (GDMO), has joined forces with popular lifestyle website The Huntr to launch the ‘Dubai Loves Coffee’ competition that aims to unearth the emirate’s best homegrown speciality coffee shops. The contest is part of Brand Dubai’s ‘Proudly from Dubai’ initiative that seeks to tell the story of innovation shaping Dubai’s emerging business and entrepreneurial culture.
As part of the collaboration, Brand Dubai and The Huntr have released a limited-edition guide to 23 speciality coffee shops in Dubai taking part in the unique competition. The outlets featured in the Guide will compete to win a spot at the prestigious 2019 Amsterdam Coffee Festival. Brand Dubai will be flying six winners of the competition to Amsterdam for the event.

This competition promises to capture the unique innovation and creativity that is driving Dubai’s lifestyle business landscape.”

The limited-edition guide for the competition is available for use and download from 10 to 20 January. Holders of the guide can unlock a special ‘The Dubai Loves Coffee Tasting Menu’ at each of the outlets featured in the guide, which will include an example of a milk-based coffee of their choice and the café’s signature drink for AED15. The community will vote for their favourites in each category. The voting categories include ‘Best Milk-Based Coffee’, ‘Best Signature Drink’ and ‘Best Overall Speciality Coffee Shop Gem’. The guide can be downloaded from 7.00 am UAE time on 10 January.
The guide explains the voting process and includes the online link to vote. Detailed instructions are given on how to how to order ‘The Dubai Loves Coffee Tasting Menu’. All the speciality coffee houses featured in the competition are listed in the Guide with a visual map to easily locate them.
Downloads and voting open on 10 January 2019. The guide is available to download until 20 January at 10.00 am. Voting closes at 7.00 pm on 20 January. The winners of the competition will be announced on 24 January.
