Flyers from UK will now need to quarantine upon arrival
Abu Dhabi has removed the UK from its green list, meaning travellers arriving will need to quarantine under COVID-19 prevention measures.
The UK was on the travel list issued by Abu Dhabi’s Department of Culture and Tourism (DCT) until today (Sunday) when it was removed along with Tajikistan, while Malta was added to the list.
There are now 28 countries on the UAE capital’s green list, including Australia, Saudi Arabia, Japan, Portugal, Russia, Iceland, Singapore, the USA and China.
The UAE remains on the UK government red list, meaning travellers arriving into the UK from the emirates are required to quarantine in a hotel.
The emirates are on the Malta’s amber list, meaning travellers are able to travel there without quarantine as long as they have a negative result from a PCR test taken no more than 72 hours before landing.
Travellers arriving in Abu Dhabi from green list countries are exempt from mandatory quarantine in Abu Dhabi but must take a PCR test on arrival.
