Special police forces from all over the world met in Dubai
Representatives of elite special forces police units from around the world met face to face in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
Fighters from groups and divisions of a special purpose from fifty countries of the world within five days will compete and perfect skill on the special games UAE Swat Challenge taking place these days in Dubai.
UAE Swat Challenge 2019 competitions started on Sunday, February 10, 2019 on the territory of the special campus of Al Ruwayaa Training City and will last until February 14. It is attended by 60 well-trained teams, including from the USA, Italy, France, Argentina and Russia.
Professionals will show their skills in a variety of tests, such as rescuing hostages, securing a security perimeter against snipers during visits by government officials, rescuing police and civilians under fire and other high-risk situations that require abilities and skills beyond the capabilities of ordinary police officers.
Teams of professionals from Dubai, Sharjah, Abu Dhabi and RAS al Khaimah are represented at the competitions from the United Arab Emirates.
UAE Swat Challenge games are organized and supported by Sheikh Seif bin Zayed, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the interior of the UAE. "This event is an opportunity for all of us to get to know each other and share experiences," said major General Khalil Ibrahim al Mansouri, assistant chief of the Dubai police criminal investigation Department.
In addition to the invaluable experience every day the three best teams will receive awards in the amount of five, three and two thousand US dollars. The main prize in the amount of US$ 70 thousand at the end of the competition will receive the winning team. Teams that took 2nd and 3rd place will receive US$ 30 thousand and US$ 20 thousand respectively.
