RSG Properties and hotel operator Rotana get nod from tourism chiefs to build 5-star Sabah Rotana
Sabah Rotana has announced that it has been granted approval to begin the construction of a five-star hotel in Dubai.
The Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM) has given its backing to the plan for Sabah Rotana, a collaboration between property developers RSG Properties and hotel operator Rotana.
The upscale hotel is a 54-storey property with 533 rooms and serviced apartments and will be located on Sheikh Zayed Road, a statement said.
It added that following the approval from DTCM, the luxury hotel is scheduled to open in 2020.
Raj Sahni, owner and chairman of RSG Properties said: “The pre-approval by DTCM for the construction of Sabah Rotana, a five-star hotel and hotel apartments project, is another milestone for RSG Properties... Sabah Rotana aims to redefine hospitality as we know it and we are confident we will deliver on our claim.”
He said the hotel will also feature food and beverage outlets, delis as well as nightclubs and meeting rooms.
