Dubai (Burj Khalifa) - the highest building of the world. Being in Dubai it is difficult not to notice a huge skyscraper which literally pierces the sky. This building is visible from any corner of the city and even for some kilometers from the city!Height of a skyscraper makes the whole 828 meters. This construction is known for the whole world under the name of Burj Khalifa that in translation "The Dubai tower" means, however there is also other official name of construction. Construction of a skyscraper began in 2004. American Adrian Smith who was already engaged earlier in construction of this sort of constructions was appointed the chief architect of the project. Burj Khalifa was under construction by the principle "the city in the city". The skyscraper is absolutely autonomous and as doesn't depend on the city. In the building there was a place not only under numerous offices and inhabited apartments, but also under boulevards, parks and little shops!
Construction of the highest skyscraper in the world was conducted quickly enough. Every week the building became 1-2 floors higher. After the 160th floor was constructed, concrete works stopped and assembly of a huge 180-meter spike from metal designs began. Construction of a skyscraper lasted for 5 years. During this time over 1,5 billion dollars were spent for implementation of so large-scale project!
According to the project under premises 108 floors are taken away at once: on 37 from them the magnificent hotel was placed, and on other floors there are usual apartments. Though to call "usual" the apartments built in the most expensive and high skyscraper of the world, language doesn't turn! As it was already noted above, the skyscraper of Burj Khalifa is absolutely autonomous.
For provision of energy of such large-scale construction not less big 61-meter turbine is used. Besides the numerous solar panels placed on tower walls help to provide the building with energy. Despite the sizes the building is perfectly designed and protected so in case of fire emergence full evacuation borrows all about half an hour!
During construction the final height and quantity of floors in a skyscraper long time wasn't disclosed. And business here not in making to the project additional advertising, and that builders and long time didn't know on what floor construction will be complete.
The economic indicator as on completion of construction of Burj Khalifa it was necessary to sell not only apartments, but also office rooms became the main limiter. Project managers were afraid that rooms of a magnificent skyscraper will be simply empty!However everything managed.
Construction of a skyscraper came to the end at the end of 2009, and the ceremonial opening of Burj Khalifa took place already on January 4, 2010. Free platforms were quickly bought up, and the building received wide popularity among tourists. Especially for the last the observation deck on 123-124 floor was open, from where incredibly beautiful look opens. Height of a platform makes 505 meters!
